Privacy notice

Colibri Co:lab · Effective from April 2026

The data controller is Colibri Co:lab AB, registered in Sweden.

Who we are

Colibri Co:lab is a Stockholm-based civic learning company. We collect personal data solely to stay in touch with people and organizations interested in our programs, and to build the municipal partnerships that make those programs possible. This notice applies to data collected through our website.

What we collect and why

When you reach out through our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name and email — so we can respond to you.
  • Whether you are an individual or a student organization — so we can tailor our follow-up.
  • Your student organization's name, if applicable — so we know who we're talking to.
  • The municipality where your school or university is located — so we can identify where civic interest is growing.
  • Anything you choose to write in the comment field — so we can understand what drew you to Colibri.

We do not collect demographic information, attitudinal data, or any other personal details beyond what you voluntarily provide through the contact form.

Legal basis

We process your data based on your consent, which you provide by submitting the contact form. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Respond to your message and follow up on your interest
  • Communicate with you about Colibri opportunities
  • Understand where civic interest is emerging across Swedish and European municipalities

Sharing with municipalities

Colibri's mission depends on building partnerships with municipalities across Sweden and the EU. Where student organizations reach out to us, we may share signals of interest with the relevant municipality — meaning the fact that a student organization in their area has contacted us, and the organization's name where relevant — so that municipality can understand where civic engagement is growing among young people. This sharing is limited to what is necessary to support partnership-building and is never used for commercial purposes.

We do not share personal information from individuals with municipalities or any other third party.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms. Aggregated, anonymized data may appear in program reports or funding applications, but only where no individual can be identified.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We retain personal data for no longer than 24 months after your last interaction with us, unless you request earlier deletion.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY)
